MTS School???
by LearningMore incould someone explain what mts is?
i am assuming it is ministerial training school, but i don't really know the significance of it.
i keep hearing reference to it, but i guess i don't understand who attended, and what sort of prestige it provided.

Sounds wonderful. So the Society intensively trains someone to fix things, and them sends them to congregations which need fixing for them to be resented by the elders trying to keep their little authority fantasy going who don't want things fixed by an outsider?

parking lot attendant = just doing enough to have the boe remember your name.
outside attendat = you smell pretty bad and you embarrass the boe.

Fun game for the convention
by Iwonder17 inso you already know how much the parking nazi's aggravate me.. so every time that we have gone to the dc, i have my kids guess how many morons it take to help me park my care ( i word it nicely as i don't want to be a jerk in front of my kids ) the last time, it took 15 idiots to point me to a parking spot.. guess how many people it took to help me park when i went to a nfl football game last year ( 75,000 people attended the game ).....2....one on the street with a flag and a second to collect the $$.. the amazing thing was that there were no accidents at the football game and all of the cars somehow fit in the spaces without 4 teenage jw's pointing at the exact smae spot..

Hey! As an ex-parking attendant I can inform you that I was a very valued member of the team, and I personally helped to ensure that all the cars would be able to exit after the sessions were over. So there! ;)

when the old generation will pass those little ones that will take in charge with all the inviromental education they had they will go for a better world.i'm sure about it, you could see it in their small eyes.

is that really true?.

Burn, I realise not all Americans are comfortable with continually pumping crap and raping the earth. I was only targeting people who stick their heads in the sand, of which many are Europeans, too. Compare America's population with the resources the nation consumes, and it's obvious something needs to be done. That's why the 'we don't care' attitude is just not acceptable.
We've only got one earth, and it turns out that Yahweh isn't going to get us off the hook with the new system after all. Gone are the days where I can allow myself to ignore the scientific community. -

They do say that to interested ones if they bring up the issue of tranlsation, but it's an unspoken rule that faithful Witnesses use the NWT. I think I've heard verses read from a different translation at a meeting before, but only very rarely.
